The Square Root Of Life
This is my first fan fiction on this site. I hope you guys like it, if you ever come back!
I pressed my hand against the surface; my breath fogged up the Plexiglas.
"Got an eye on the little ones, I see?" Clark, an employee, said.
I nodded. Big was nice sometimes, but I wanted a lap dog. I was a teenager, so I didn't want to have people claim I played ponies with my Labrador Retriever.
"This little girl here," Clark added, hoisting a caramel puppy out of the tank, "is an angel. She loves people, she's loyal, and she'll play when you wanna play and sleep when you wanna sleep."
"Does she know tricks?" I asked, holding my arms out to receive the dog.
"She knows a lot," he answered, and soon the dog was asleep in my arms.
What a cute dog! "Wow....
"I'll take her!" I exclaimed confidently.
At the check out, they handed me a box and led me to the small room, off in the corner of the store. The small puppy leaped into the box with ease, and I set her along with my belongings on the table in the corner of the room.
I signed the papers, picked up some dog supplies, and placed her in the car. She trudged up to the front seat, turned around once, then twice, closed her eyes, and fell asleep.
